RefillLane guide

A clear next step, from setup to review.

RefillLane is a Shopify admin workspace for product-specific refill timing, review records, and CSV exports. It does not send emails or contact customers.

Getting started

  1. Install through Shopify and open Apps → RefillLane. No separate account or manually entered store address is required. The public App Store listing is currently being prepared.
  2. Choose a subscription on the Plan page. Review the price, period, and trial on Shopify’s confirmation screen. Paid tools become available after Shopify confirms an active subscription.
  3. Open Schedules and select an active Shopify product. Set the interval from 1 to 365 days, the lead time from 0 to 364 days, and the quantity rule. Save the schedule.
  4. Open Reminders and sync Shopify orders. Review dates and permission-related status. Pause review preparation or cancel an individual record when needed.
  5. Export the current review history as CSV when your team needs a copy. RefillLane does not send that file to customers.

Limits in the current release

  • The schedule picker loads up to 500 products.
  • A manual sync checks up to 1,000 orders from approximately the latest 60 days. If more orders match, the app reports that the result is incomplete.
  • The review page shows up to 500 records. CSV export allows up to 10,000 rows and rejects larger exports instead of silently truncating them.
  • All currently available paid plans use the same implemented review features and processing limits. Additional Growth and Pro tools are not delivered in this release. See current pricing details.

Why is the queue empty?

Use an active product with a saved, enabled schedule and a matching eligible recent order with a Shopify customer reference. Current marketing permission and order status affect eligibility. A store with no matching orders can legitimately have zero records. Shopify protected customer data access must also be available. The development-store data selection and published-app review are separate steps; access for public merchants remains subject to Shopify review.

Sync failed or access was refused

Reopen the app from Shopify admin and check Help & privacy → Store access. Restore requested permissions through Shopify if they are missing. Retry the sync after a temporary API failure. If Shopify has not approved the app’s required customer data access, reinstalling will not grant that approval. Contact support with your store domain, approximate time, and the visible error; do not send credentials or customer records.

Subscription and return from Shopify

After approval, allow the app to return from Shopify and refresh its subscription status. If a confirmation was declined, return to Plan and choose again. Only a subscription Shopify reports as active unlocks paid tools. The app follows Shopify’s effective dates for upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations; check the confirmation screen before approving. Test billing is used only when Shopify identifies the store as a partner development store.

Exports, privacy, and uninstall

CSV exports contain review references, product information, dates, quantity, and status. They do not contain customer email addresses. Help & privacy → Privacy requests provides scoped exports for Shopify data requests. Deliver the export through your store’s privacy process before marking it complete.

Uninstalling triggers deletion of the store’s live app data when Shopify’s verified notification arrives. Reinstalling does not restore deleted schedules or history. Read the privacy policy for retention and backup details.
